WHAT A WIN 🔥🔥
Last Sunday, the Buccaneers faced off against Eindhoven Icehawks for the first competition game of the season at the Utrecht rink. The result was an epic victory 6-3. (Even though, should have been 7-3 as some video tapes showed…)

The game was opened with a backhand goal by the one and only American legend Colter, and after that the players of the Buccaneers only showed what they have to offer. The energy was up both on the ice and in the audience. All players had great effort and amazing goals were scored.
Shoutout to Jesse, who tirelessly stopped (almost) every shot and Tijn and Colter, who both scored their first goal as Buccaneers!! And of course, coach Emma, who showed up in an NHL-level business outfit to lead the team😍😍

Stars were also awarded:
⭐Tijn: being everywhere, lots of energy, creating opportunities and of course scoring
⭐⭐ Maaike: steady defence, keeping her head cool
⭐⭐⭐ Pelle: fast as fuck, forechecking, awesome attacking

See you at the next game!

Last week we played our first friendly game of the year against the Leiden ducks. Although we had to get used to the line up for a bit we improved a lot during the game. Overall a very fun and challenging game!
The stars:
⭐Sep was helping out everywhere and creating many opportunities.
⭐⭐Noa fought like a champion, showing no fear.
⭐⭐⭐Maaike defended like a wall, taking down opponents left and right.
In a few weeks we will be playing our first competition game against the Icehawks, stay tuned. #onecrew #coachemma #newseason #sepistall

The start of a new season also marks the end of the previous one. As the new board takes on the responsibilities now resting on their shoulders and probably says the word ‘rookie’ more times a day than we have practices in a year, the old board can look back on their year with a smile, a sense of accomplishment, and full hearts.

We’d like to thank the amazing board that has made this year as fabulous as it was!✨ Thank you!

Dear Followers,

Some time ago we played against Den Bosch. We tried our hardest but with Den Bosch being number one in the competition we could not get a win. But we are moving on and focussing on our final game of the season against the Icehawks in March. Stars go to our three amazing centers:
⭐Jack had amazing speed and scored two beautiful goals
⭐⭐ Thomas started a lot of plays and passed the players of den Bosch graciously (except that one time...) and scored our 3rd goal
⭐⭐⭐ Mees showed us once again what amazing speed he possesses and he never stopped backchecking!

#centerstars #latepost

On the day before we played a friendly against LowTech. With an amazing line up ranging from rookies to coaches we played a very nice game that we ended with a 4-1 win.
Stars from this game go out to
⭐Lucie played an amazing game. Skating fast and winning board battles even faster
⭐⭐Zoé showed us great defensive work and stopped LowTech left and right
⭐⭐⭐Sep had perfect positioning as a center and led his line like a champ

Hello dear Buccafollowers,

Last weekend we faced off against Geleen. It promised to be an exciting match, and we can confirm that it’s one to go down in the books. We have a broken stick, a player locked up in our lockerroom (on accident, right sep?) and as always, amazing effort. Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure the win and had to leave the ice with another loss. Though, we’re proud of all our teammates because every single one of ‘em put in a lot of effort.

Our stars:
⭐️Jesse our goalie, our man, our legend. He truly was shining. Keeping lots of pucks out, he saved us🙏.
⭐️⭐️ Zoé skated her ass off puting 100 percent effort into every move and stood there like a wall holding back Geleen!
⭐️⭐️⭐️Lotte played amazingly. Her perseverance and effort alongside with her unwavering one crew-spirit caused her to deserve the third star #woodenstick.

We see you all upcoming weekend, in Den Haag.
